Galina Live has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards describe what we prohibit, how anyone can report a concern and what we do when we receive one.
Adults only
Galina Live is only for people aged 18 and over. Users must confirm their date of birth when they sign up, and we remove accounts that we find belong to anyone under 18, whether they appear in front of or behind the camera.
What we prohibit
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, animated or AI-generated material.
- Sexualising minors in any way, including comments, captions and usernames.
- Grooming, or any attempt by an adult to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion, and soliciting or sharing intimate images of minors.
- Sharing personal information about minors.
- Content that promotes or normalises the abuse or exploitation of children.
How to report
- In the App. Use Report on any profile, live, post, comment or message and choose the most relevant reason.
- By email. Write to our safety team at safety@galina.live. Please don't attach or forward abusive images; describe where you saw the content instead.
Reports involving children are prioritised and reviewed by our safety team.
How we respond
When we find or are told about CSAE content or behaviour we:
- Remove the content and suspend the accounts involved without delay.
- Preserve the relevant information as required by law.
- Report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, and to other relevant authorities.
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
- Permanently ban accounts that engage in child sexual abuse or exploitation.
Prevention
- An 18+ age requirement at sign-up, and removal of underage accounts.
- Review of lives through moderation snapshots, and of reported content.
- Detection of accounts that try to return after being banned.
- Tools that let everyone block, mute and report other users.
Compliance
We comply with applicable child safety laws, including the obligation to report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC under United States law, and the laws of the countries where Galina Live is available.
